Belfast plans to end their four-year Cultural Olympiad project with the London 2012 Festival.
The festival will occur during the London Olympic Games next summer.
The 12 week epic aims to enjoy the arts in their entirety.
Despite the sporting games not being held in Ireland, it still plans to celebrate by displaying some of the best artists in the world, from fields such as dancing, acrobatics and music.
The 12 week festival will begin on June 21 with an open air concert which will see bands such as Massive Attack play, and will be fronted by actors Jude Law and Jeremy Gilley.
Also expected throughout the festival are orchestras, acrobats, dancers, plays and operas.
Thousands of people are expected to gather next year and watch the displays in front of Belfast’s city hall, as well as other areas of Northern Ireland’s capital.
